Beech - 2 strip Wooden flooring

Beech - a light, durable wooden floor

Beech is a light-colored wood species which acquires a warm, reddish golden tone with age. The structural grain pattern is straight with a fine, even texture. Its excellent strength properties provide a durable wooden floor with a classic look. A hardwood timber, Beech is one of the strongest and most durable woods used for wood flooring.

This floor is also available as ships decking. The black neoprene strip placed between the boards adds a maritime look to the floor.

Surface treatment

Beech wooden floors are available pre-finished with the following surfaces:

Beech wood flooring with clear oil
An oiled surface treatment accentuates the glow of the wood and provides a soft, natural surface that is durable and easy to maintain.

Beech wood flooring Silkmatt lacquer
Surface treatment with a Silkmatt lacquer gives the floor a slight sheen with a strong and very durable surface. The floor is easy to clean and suitable for rooms in constant use.

Beech wood flooring Ultramatt lacquer
An Ultramatt finish is virtually invisible to the eye, offering a durable lacquered surface with the look of an oiled finish. The floor is easy to clean and care for.

Beech wood flooring Untreated
Junckers floors can be delivered untreated but must be surface treated using one of Junckers oil or lacquer products before use. This can be done on-site post installation.

Dimensions

Junckers Beech wood flooring is available as overlay or structural floors, 14mm or 22mm thick boards both with a plank width of 129mm.

Choosing the thickness of the floorboards depends on what goes underneath. If the new floor is to be installed over an existing, level subfloor, an overlay floor of thinner boards is required. If the new floor is to be installed on flooring battens you will need a structural, thicker floorboard. Once installed, your new floor should be the right height for door moldings, doorsteps and match the height of other floors in the house.

Make sure you choose the right colour!

Since colours are difficult to reproduce online, the actual colour on a wooden floor can vary from the colour shown on the screen. We thus always recommend ordering a free physical sample before placing the order. Junckers accepts no liability for possible deviations.
