Floors for Netball
Sprung Floors for Netball
Safety, performance, and durability –the most important considerations when choosing a floor for indoor netball courts, netball halls. or multi purpose sports halls.
Netball players make big demands upon their floors. Netball is a fast moving sport with explosive sprints and turns, so players must be able to trust the floor to have the right level of slip resistance as they move fast around the court.
Safety is paramount. A netball court floor must be shock absorbing to protect the players’ joints from impact injuries. A shock absorbing sprung netball floor enables players to perform at their best.
A Junckers floor provides the optimum ball bounce for netball, giving players the fast response and fine control that they need.
A sprung wooden floor is the recommended surface for indoor netball courts according to the International Netball Federation (INF) and national netball bodies.
Junckers 22mm solid hardwood sports floors are ideal; they are available in a choice of timbers and sprung batten systems. All are tough, durable, long lasting and easy to maintain.

SylvaSport and SylvaTech solid beech floors are the ideal choice, selected for their uniformity of colour, superior strength, durability and longevity.
The technical performance standard for indoor netball court floors is EN 14904 for multi purpose sports floors. The standard assesses the floor’s shock absorption, surface friction and visual characteristics, along with vertical deformation and ball response. Junckers has a wide range of area elastic floor systems that comply with EN 14904 categories A3 and A4. Junckers floors also meet the requirements of Sport England and SportScotland.

For refurbishments with restricted floor height the Clip system is the ideal sprung overlay floor. Junckers BluBat and UnoBat 45 floors are foam backed batten systems whose performance outweighs their simplicity. For uneven subfloors and where the designer wants to omit the screed the New Era and UnoBat 62+ levelling systems are ideal. Junckers DouBat 120+ system is a levelling system with an elite level of performance.
Portable Netball Floors
Junckers Portable Floors are the ultimate in versatility. Junckers Portable A3 and Pro Complete 44 portable floor systems offer the same performance characteristics as the range of fixed installation floors and are made from the same beautiful solid hardwood.
Sub-construction: The foundation for your netball court
Sub-construction refers to the underlying structure that supports the playing surface of a netball court. The sub-construction of a netball floor plays a critical role in the overall performance and safety of the court. A well-constructed sub-floor and sub-structure provide a stable foundation for the playing surface, ensuring that the court remains level and does not warp or buckle over time. They also help to absorb shock and reduce the impact on players' joints, helping to prevent injuries.
At Junckers you can choose between a wide variety of sub-constructions that will fit any need you might have.
Easy Cleaning and Maintenance of your Netball Floor
Maintenance of a Junckers netball court is simple. On a daily basis, it is more than enough to use a scrubber-dryer machine with a low dosage of water. To keep the floor in optimal condition, we offer maintenance products such as resin remover, degreaser and mild soap products.
Additionally, we produce our own sports lacquer. The lacquer is approved in accordance with the European sports standard EN 14904 and has a high ability to bond with the existing surface. This means that only a light screening of the floor is needed before refreshing with one coat of our sports lacquer. If years of hard wear require a more comprehensive refinishing, it is possible to sand the floor down for complete restoration. If a sports floor is regularly maintained, sanding down to bare wood is rarely necessary.
Solid Hardwood Netball Flooring - Certified wood and caring for the indoor climate
Junckers only use wood from forests managed in a sustainable and environmentally responsible way. Planting new trees as old ones are cut down is one of the characteristics of sustainable forestry. To protect the climate, we strive to use wood harvested as close as possible to our factory. This is why our raw wood is mainly sourced from forest areas in Denmark, Sweden, Germany and Poland.
Junckers achieved Chain of Custody certification in 2006 and has since been able to offer PEFC certified products. In 2010, we also achieved certification under the FSC® scheme.
Furthermore, we have a wide range of wood flooring and woodcare products that carry the Danish Indoor Climate Label. The Indoor Climate Label is your guarantee that the products do not have odours or chemical substances that can adversely affect the air quality in the room.
Pre-Finished Surface
Junckers solid hardwood floor systems are pre-finished, fast to install and cost effective. This all helps the installer to keep to his schedule and means that the owner will have minimal “down time” before the court will be ready for use. A solid hardwood floor offers unbeatable life cycle costs and the initial cost will be less that a similar synthetic floor finish, with all the low carbon and environmental benefits that solid hardwood brings.
