Junckers Parquet Glue - Making The Case For Quality

Junckers Parquet Glue is a modified silicone (MS polymer) adhesive that is very easy to use. It is:
- Single Component
- Solvent free
- Bonds to a variety of substrates
- Needs no primer
Globally there are many manufacturers of MS Polymer Adhesives, but they will not necessarily provide the same level of performance. Here are some of the things you get with the Junckers Parquet Glue
- Any traces of glue on the surface of the board can be easily cleaned off and the surface finish will not be marked.
- It provides an effective vapour barrier. Other MS Polymer adhesives may not provide the same level of moisture protection.
- Junckers Parquet Glue is not “bulked out” with excessive amounts of filler….but what does that mean?...
Cheaper Substitutes - A Warning
It has recently come to our attention that some cheaper brands of MS Polymer adhesive have resulted in floor failures, and the number of claims is currently increasing.
The failures have been found to relate directly to the quality of the adhesive. In order to manufacture a cheaper product some manufacturers increased the amount of filler in their formulations. This has meant that the polymer chains cannot form such strong chemical bonds, and so over time the weaker glue fails.
These are some of the reasons why we always recommend only our own adhesive.
In order for us to issue a warranty on any Junckers glued-down floor it must have been installed using Junckers Parquet Glue.
