Ash Flooring
Feted for its naturally pale colour, ash is often seen as an exclusive flooring choice. Its unique grain definition makes this hardwood timber a characterful floor, similar in pattern to oak but with its own distinct colour tones. Like most pale-coloured floors, ash floors will enhance any space – its light and bright look has universal appeal.
cool and contemporary
Ash floors ranges in colour from a creamy white to light grey-brown and its excellent strength properties makes it very desirable as wood flooring.
Often used in contemporary interiors, ash flooring adds natural warmth and character to balance clean lines and hard surfaces, preventing a room from becoming overly cold or clinical looking. At the same time, an ash wooden floor has enough cool tones and a light, clear colour to complement a modern setting.
more than a floor
Ash is also a particularly good choice as panelling on walls and other vertical surfaces. A design trick often used by architects and designers; wood clad walls can often be found in contemporary offices, spaces, in hotel and retail interiors, large entrances and restaurants, anywhere you would want to create a welcoming space.
The same effect can easily be recreated in a home, where a wall clad wood can add interest and individuality.
Two-stave or herringbone
Junckers ash flooring is available in a range of flooring styles, as a traditional two-stave floor or our popular, budget busting Twin Herringbone – a pre-finished parquet ready to walk on as soon as it’s installed, made from our two-stave floorboards.
As with most Junckers wooden floors, you can choose from three grades, Classic, Harmony or Variation, depending on the look you’d like for your floor.
Finishing treatments, perfectly applied in the factory so the ash floor is ready to walk on as soon as it’s installed, include oil, lacquers and our very popular Nordic finish, a white colour wash that emphasises the grain pattern further.
