In relation to the new campus construction in the center of Næstved, Blomstergården A/S has done a building project containing 125 residences for the youth. The apartments are one, two and three rooms, respectively.
From the beginning, FLY Ejendomme who is behind the project, has been determined to choose solid and durable floors that were able to stand the traffic from people moving in and out.
“Because we generally use solid wooden floors in our residential buildings, we chose – in unison with the entrepreneur Gråkjær – to use Junckers 22mm Beech at Blomstergården due to its beautiful look and durability,” FLY Ejendomme builder Frederik Hansen explains.
Project manager at Gråkjær Niels Tarp adds: “The choice fell on Beech Variation because of the floor’s nuances, its durability and maintainability. The floor is particularly suitable for major damages such as cigarette burns etc. - repairs are disguised by the floor’s natural characteristics and knots.”
22x129mm Beech Variation has been installed in every apartment, amounting to 4.500 m2 in total.
